St
Peter's Playgroup in Sittingbourne offers sessional day care and
is licensed for children aged 2 years to school age.
The playgroup offers
a safe and caring environment where children can learn through
play, fostering the growth of the ‘whole’ child in
an intellectual, moral and social way. We do consider playgroup
to be an extension of the home as well as preparation for life.
We have experienced
and highly qualified staff with a supervision ratio of 1 to 3.5.
children.
We have good links
with local schools from whom we receive positive feedback.
We fulfil the Government
led criteria of the Foundation Stage Curriculum and also follow
the initiative of ‘Well Being and Involvement’ as
suggested by Ferers Lavers and Kent County Council’s early
years, which is a positive way to assess a child’s development.
We are a Roman
Catholic pre-school playgroup that serves the whole community
in the Sittingbourne and surrounding area.
Our admissions’
policy is based on first come first served principles and underpins
our commitment to equal opportunities.
Founded in 1983
the playgroup will celebrate 25 years of service to the community
with its silver jubilee in 2008.
Please feel free
to contact us so that you can arrange to come and see the happy
environment your child could enjoy.
Our sessions are
held in the O’Sullivan Centre, behind the Sacred Heart Church,
